MGP BISS CH Maroufke of Kelso HOF

Nearly every champion schipperke today can trace its roots back to Maroufke.  This dog was a multiple group placer at a time when Schipperkes did not often place in group.   In 1939, he won over a record entry of 49 Schips; he won 5 Best In Specialties, 5 Best of Breed wins at Westminster, and is the sire of 32 champions.  He is considered by many to be the best of the Kelso kennels, who bred or owned over 100 champions.
The pedigree you see below is here much in thanks to Mette Oleson of Denmark.  Many of the dogs on this pedigree are from Belgium.  Ms Isobel Ormiston's original imported pair, Max and Flore, appear on both sides of the pedigree.  Also on the pedigree is the bitch Ms Ormiston considered to be her ideal in the breed - Dolette de Veeweyde, who was the winner of two all-breed best in shows in Europe before being imported.
