Celebrindal of Earlymoon

This is Idril, the little C puppy who decided to stay at home.   Both her registered name and call name need a little explaining, so here it is.   Celebrindal is the name of an Elf princess in the Lord of the Rings.  You won't see her in the movies, and she is mentioned little in those books - rather she is a character of an earlier time, which is told in Tolkien's The Silmarillion.  Her father's name was Turgon, and with the help of one of the Ainer (like angels), Turgon build a huge city that was hidden in the mountains.  His only child was Idril, and she was very beautiful not only with looks but with character - and she was called "Celebrindal"... or "silver foot".  She gained this name because she loved to go barefoot, even though her hair was golden.  (The "C" in Celebrindal is actually pronounced as a "K".)  The interesting thing is, Idril (my puppy) actually does have one silver toe on a hind foot!  In the Silmarillion, Idril has the wisdom and foresight to have her most trusted subjects build a very secret tunnel out of the city... so eventually, when the city is betrayed and the enemy is invading, Idril escapes with her husband and son, and all of her people that she can lead forth.  For those who have watched the movie, Idril was the grandmother of Elrond (father of Arwen and leader of Rivendell), and his brother Elros, who was the ancestor of Aragorn.
"Idril" is pronounced as "I drill".  I can only hope that this does not inspire her to become a great digger.  Celebrindal is pronounced "Kel" "ebb" "brin" "dal".
