What a special boy! His name
is Kyle, which he got by taking the first part of his mother's name "Kimi", and
the last part of his father's name "Axil". His registered name has a
HUGE family history as well! You see, the foundation of
Kurakuma is our beloved Allie. Of ALL of our children, none were as like Allie as
her daughter Kimi. We lost our Allie about the time that Kimi came to stay with us
for this litter... and as hard as it was (and still IS) losing Allie, having Kimi
here made it a bit easier because she was so eerily like her mother... in
silhouette, type, head, face and expression, attitude, intelligence, and even
the little day to day things that she does, ways that she barks.... how she
curls up on the bed with you... she is JUST like her mother. So when it
came to naming this puppy, I looked and looked and looked for a name that would
bring meaning to our foundation "Allie". We went a couple of months without a good name, and how I found it was pretty
funny... I went to Google, and did a search on Allie+Axil, and what did I find?
Well, one was a site that talked about the Axis and the Allies, which, for those who don't
know, were the opposing sides in World War II. I am a BIG history buff, majored in
it in college... so it hit us three times. Axis is the plural of
Axil, Allies is the plural of Allie, and it is a historical name!
