Windrift Abby
Abby lived with us for only a few short years.  She was given to us because she desperately wanted a family, and I think she is a very rare dog who truly appreciated anything she got.  The night she came home she seemed to recognize who was family and who was not, though she had never met any of us before.   Unfortunately, someone opened our front gate one day and let all the dogs out, and Abby was killed on the road.  After that, a lock went on every gate, and still does.
Abby was the mother to our sweet Allie, who finished with three majors, and was top brood bitch in 2000, and now has 8 champion kids plus two more pointed.
