Historical Schipperke Kennel Ads

Much of the history of this breed has been lost - we have not kept track of it and as the information becomes older, it is lost.   One of the small ways in which historical information can be obtained about the breed is to find old kennel ads.  This often gives you small bits of information about dogs or about the people who bred them.  The HHS society has collected these as part of preserving the breed's history - please enjoy.

Noirmont Schipperkes were active from the 1930's to the early 80's.  They bred a great deal, though they showed only their first Schip.  For many years, they were close to Isobel Ormiston; often breeding to her males, and she sometimes either bought a pup from them or bred to one of their males.   They imported a son from the famous Belg CH Marious des Lutins Noirs, plus a daughter of Marius that was in whelp to him.  This kennel ad was submitted by HSS member Janette Sweet.
